Description
James Wilson White, his wife Agnes and their children emigrated from Scotland to Tasmania in 1855 but came to Dunedin in 1862. Here James continued his trade as a carpenter for nearly thirty years, until his death in 1890. He made this kauri cradle in 1873 for his grandson John White Todd.
